Founded in 2002,  CHIX, SWINE & BOVINE Bbq.  are proud winner of the  members of the Kansas City Barbecue Society and the Mid Atlantic BBQ Association. Team members Mike and Barbara Richter, and Chris Owen are certified KCBS Judges.  Our daughters Michelle and Jenn, Paul Sobwick, Josh Halbedel, Bill Oiler, Glen Ray, Mike Stone, Laurie and Harry Bright and the Honorable John Douglas Caulfield comprise the rest of our team.  Just a crazy group of friends from Columbia, Maryland and across the country who like to Q. 

After getting mentored by the Honorable John Douglas Caulfield in the ways of the smoke, we started cooking at various neighborhood parties.  Then, after positive feedback and encouragement from our friends, we decided to take it to the next level.  In 2008 we won our first Grand Championship and realized our goal of receiving an invitation to the American Royal in Kansas City, MO.  We were also fortunate enough to receive an invitation to the Jack Daniel's World Championship in Lynchburg, TN.  We were thrilled to receive multiple calls at both contests!  Since then we have won Championships in Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

We are proud to serve some of the best BBQ in the Baltimore / Washington DC area and are available to cater your next event.  A variety of menu choices include, but are not limited to:  Ribs, Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Pit Beef, Pit Turkey, Pit Ham, and a wide variety of side dishes, appetizers, and desserts.
